In Finnish, the equivalent to this ending is the -n ending, or genitive.
Kenen = whose
's = -n
The ending -n is added to the person or thing to whom the other thing belongs.
Tommi - Tommin = Tommi's, belongs to Tommi
After the word with the genitive, comes the thing which belongs to Tommi.
Tommin auto Tommi's car
Tommi's dog Tommin koira
Anne's cat Annen kissa
The sister's house siskon talo
The father's car isän auto
The little sister's ball pikkusiskon pallo

Kaarina's juice Kaarinan mehu
Sabine's bird Sabinen lintu
Jouni's paper Jounin paperi
Laura's table Lauran pöytä
Onni's tree Onnin puu
Alonzo's tea Alonzon tee
Most Finnish words and names end in a vowel, but if the name ends in a consonant, adding -I- before the -n is necessary.
Joel's mother Joelin äiti
Jean's brother Jeanin veli
Maarit's glass Maaritin lasi
Peter's chair Peterin tuoli
The genitive ending -n is also used for the English word "of".
of = -n
In English, the word "of" is usually in front of a word, but -n is always added to the end of a word.
of a paper paperin
of the doctor lääkärin
of the father isän
of the road tien
of alcohol alkoholin
of a cow lehmän
In this case, in English the word order is different. The person to whom the other thing belongs to comes afterwards, after the word "of", and the thing that belongs to that person comes first.
The car of the father Isän auto
The pen of the doctor Lääkärin kynä
The life of a cow Lehmän elämä

The genitive is used, when talking about ownership:

It is also used, when talking about relatives:

It is also used, when talking about a part of something:

It can also be used when talking about a color or shape or sound or a characteristic of something:
